Consultation analysis of user behavior of visitors

The main product of the company eMerite is what is called a consultation analysis of user behavior of visitors of Internet pages, which we provide under the business name eMerite Doložíme. A prerequisite for compiling the analysis is the gathering of data on visitation of the client’s Website, which we obtain through software for monitoring visitation.

A basis for the consultation analysis is evaluation of dozens of indicators of user behavior of visitors in an easy-to-read document (normally around 30 pages in printed and electronic form), which, aside from tables and graphs, contains summarized commentary, conclusions and recommendations of how to make more the following more effective on the basis of ascertained preferences of users of the given Website:

  • which pages to give priority to and highlight in the navigation menu, i.e. how to create a clear system of precedence and subordination of hyperlinks (according to the level of preference of individual Web pages and functions of the Web), how to make the most visited pages easily accessible and how to enable intuitive and comfortable navigation of the particular Website
  • how to adjust the design and content of the Website in relation to the found preferences of visitors, i.e. how to create the optimum structural (visual) solution, which will correspond to the tested solutions of functional and successful Websites (hyperlinks to various Websites/function must be located and comprehensively realize in such a way that the visitors are used to in comparable Websites in the given field, i.e. with usage of general Internet habits and standards; the resulting likeness of pages should correspond to the principles of user-friendliness of the Website); upon approval of the structural concept of the pages, a proposal for graphic design may be a relating step
  • what rules it is necessary to respect upon naming pages and when creating texts (in part in the interest of easier orientation of visitors of pages and in part for increasing their accessibility from Internet search engines)
  • what Website to promote on other Websites and in off-line media, how to correctly formulate records of the Website (hyperlinks) in Internet catalogs and search engines, with the help of what key words (Search Engine Optimization – SEO)
  • what content on the Website to bring into accordance with lawful requirements (especially for Websites of public administration bodies ), or with Rules for creating an accessible Website (Best practice) issued by the Ministry of Informatics of the Czech Republic, with guidelines of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1.0, Section 508, Blind Friendly Web, etc.

The value of the consultation analysis by eMerite is found, amongst others, in the fact that we know the normal values of indicators of visitation in various fields, and so we are able to compare the rate of success of competing Websites, draw attention to their strong and weak points, etc. We are able to find correlations hidden in measured visitation parameters.
